Hold On by Ann M. Dibb tells us how important it is to never let go of our "safety equipment" : prayer, church attendance, scripture reading etc.
She reminds us that life is not supposed to be easy or happy all the time, it is a challenge. "We learn and grow by overcoming challenges with faith, persistence, and personal righteousness."
I know that this morning on my way to work I was unconsciously singing the hymn "Did You Think To Pray" and it helped when I got to work and things did not come out as I needed them to. So a whole day of work lost that today I have to spend redoing. But it was a situation I could easily handle as I was calm and at peace with a hymn in my head and a prayer in my heart.
When we feel like we don't need to pray, that is when we really need to. I just remind myself of that and it really really helps. :)
