A Call to the Rising Generation by Elder Brent H. Nielson reminds us just how important it is to pray for our missionaries. He tells of the story of his son being able to serve a mission in a town once forbidden to visit. It was through the prayers of the faithful for the country leaders to soften their hearts that the missionaries are now allowed.
After I heard this talk at General Conference, it was the first time that I began to pray for such things. Sometimes I forget how much power a prayer can have and how I can pray for anything and everything. Let's hope and pray for more stories like that of his son, and help prepare the children of this generation to serve missions.
